Project Red Thread – Online Zoom

Join us for a cosy evening of tea, meditation and sacred embroidery.

This evening is part of project Red Thread – a community embroidery project and collective creation to make our connection to the Divine Mother visible, revealing and honouring her as the Red Thread running throughout the history of this earth and humanity.

Let’s celebrate and honour our connections to the Divine Mother in all their diversity, let’s make our relationship and experience with Her visible and alive through our creations.

Together we can reveal what unites us: the blood that flows through our veins, the elixir of life represented by the red thread in our creations and the love and immediateness of life that we share with the Mother.

By which name do you call the Divine Mother? Mary, Mary Magdalene, Lakshmi, Tara, Brigid, Anna, Isis, Demeter, Oshun, Sekhmet, Yemanja, Venus, Gaia, Kali, Quan Yin, Durga, Pele, Kuma, Maat… How would you represent your relationship with her? With a symbol, a prayer, a word, an image, a face?

Embroider the representation of your bond using a red thread on a white cloth and send it to us so we can celebrate the Divine Mother in her many aspects and names. We will assemble all the squares in a collective banner heralding the return of the Mother in our era.

How to participate?

-Participation is open to everyone, including members and non-members of this community and no previous embroidery experience is needed

-Prepare a white square of cloth 13×13 cm (adding a border of at least 5cm for us to join them together)

-Prepare a needle and red thread

-Prepare a nice cup of tea and join us at the zoom link.
