On the trail of myrrophores in Ancient Egypt
31/10 - 09/11/2024
The art of sacred oils in Ancient Egypt in service of High Alchemy.
Anointing to Sacralise
Join us on a journey in the footsteps of the sacred perfumes of Ancient Egypt. The great civilisation that practised the art of royal alchemy perfected the use of oils for healing and devotion and left us a golden legacy that we can reconnect with today to resacralise the world.
Come and explore the history and use of sacred oils in Egyptian temples. You'll discover the recipes for the oils used in the temples, how they were applied, the role of oil as a psychopomp and its place in the art of healing. Together, we'll retrace the route of perfumes, spices and incense, and marvel at the recipes for the perfumes inscribed on the walls of the most beautiful temples.
What we'll experience together
You will practice the divine art of oils and incense with what you have just learned in the temples and through the connection to the gods and goddesses to whom the oils were dedicated as the most sacred offerings. A journey that will awaken your soul and intoxicate your spirit.

The Mystery Schools
Between our visits to the temples we'll have time to relax and integrate, meditation practices to prepare the body energetically and open ourselves up to receive the gifts of the Great Temples.
Each temple will reveal new fragrances and new ways of entering into communion with the divine. We'll travel through the scents of incense and perfume, with the gods and goddesses of the Egyptian pantheon as our guide as we explore the secret chambers of our unconscious.

Your companions
for the trip
Anaïs Theyskens
Anaïs Theyskens is passionate about Egypt and has been organising trips there for years. She was initiated into Druidism and received a transmission from Mary Magdalene during her time at Glastonbury which she now shares within her mystery school the Path of the Magdalene.
She considers the wisdom of Ancient Egypt to be an important key to self-transformation and the path to inner and outer harmony. She shares her knowledge through an online initiation course accompanied by encounters with Egyptian divinities and through temple pilgrimages.
She was initiated into the art of sacred oils by Michael Zayat, aromatherapist, distiller and medicine man at heart. Since then, she has walked the path of the myrrophore - the priestess who heals the soul through olfactotherapy and treatments that incorporate the use of essential oils. She shares the art of sacred anointing and sacraments within the Magdalene Ministry, a path of priesthood under the aegis of Mary Magdalene.
During our journey, Anaïs will introduce you to the use of sacred oils for healing the soul and accompanying rites of transition. She will show you how sacred oil was used as a vehicle for communication, opening doors between the visible and invisible worlds.
Joseph Hunwick
Joseph Hunwick is a natural perfumer, acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese medicine. Joseph spent many years in Egypt, from childhood to adulthood, where he was inspired by his mentor, Omran Hassan, a perfumer from a long line of traditional healers. Hassan's shop was filled with raw perfumes and, spending a lot of time here, as well as exploring the city's markets with their spices, dust, people and traffic, these visions and smells imprinted themselves on his mind, inspiring him to realise that perfume is one of the greatest healing arts.
Joseph studied Chinese medicine with Vietnamese, Chinese and English teachers, graduating in 1998. Specialising in perfumery and natural cosmetics, Joseph gives therapeutic consultations using acupuncture, massage and fragrances, which he blends individually according to the client's needs.
On this journey Joseph will take us on a deep exploration of the healing and transformative power of fragrances and aromas, and their relationship with our memories and psyches. We will see how the spiritual properties of fragrance connect us to the essence of the plant, which is a powerful link to the soul. He will tell us about the history of perfume, raw gums and resins and how they have been used for healing throughout time.
