Operation « Red Thread » is a collective creation with the intention to express our connection to the Divine Mother and honour her as a red thread throughout the history of this earth and humanity.
The numerology of this projet : 13 : All embroideries are done on a square of 13x13cm. The number 13 has always been associated with the divine mother. The thirteenth day of the month was often dedicated to the goddess and considered particularly special and lucky when it coincided with a Friday, the day dedicated to the goddess Venus. This magical number describes the loving relationship between Venus and the earth. Every 13 Venus years and 8 earth years, the dance of the 2 planets around the sun describes a 5-petaled rose in the heavens – also known as the “Venus Rose”.
This sequence 5, 8, 13 is also part of the Fibonacci sequence - 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, ... – a mathematical sequence named after Italian scientist Leonardo of Pisa (also called Fibonacci) who introduced this sequence into western mathematics after discovering it in Indian mathematics. This formula describes the algorithm of harmonic growth and expansion of life – the geometry of a pineapple, the unfolding of a fern, the flowering of an artichoke, etc. all follow this pattern. The number 13 is a number that expresses the underlying harmony of the universe, like a loving mother supporting the wellbeing of all life.
The number 13 has also been associated with the feminine and the divine mother because it is unpredictable, it is difficult to put into a box, there are mysteries associated with this number that are unknown to us, codes we have not cracked yet. It reminds us of the untameable and unlimited nature of the Mother. We are reminded that there are certain mysteries of life that we will never understand or know, and we are invited to accept the unknown as the place where the greatest gifts lie. And it is exactly the mysterious aspect of this number that gives it its bad reputation. We don’t like what we can’t control. We’ve muted the Divine Mother from our spiritual lives and rendered her invisible in our physical reality because we fear her vastness. To meet her we need to surrender, dive into the quantic void. When we meet her we understand that we are not meant to control life, but we are meant to dance with her, like Venus and the earth.
