Before tantra was commodified into performance and technique, it was devotion. The Magdalene Tantra Path returns eros to its original place — as a sacred practice, philosophy and architecture of sacred union, with the divine within.

Rooted in the hidden tradition carried by Mary Magdalene — priestess, initiate, and keeper of the sacred marriage codes — this course moves you through the body as temple, prayer, devotion, the muse and the beauty way as an expression of eros, and love as a path back to wholeness.

You’ll work with the inner marriage of masculine and feminine within you and the principles of energetic mastery. The journey doesn’t close on a screen. It closes on the land itself: a weekend in Glastonbury, walking the ground Mary Magdalene’s lineage is said to have walked, and closing in ceremony together.

An Overview of your Journey

Week 1: Tantra – Historical Foundations

We deconstruct the idea of new age tantra being focussed on sexuality and sexual performance and return it to its roots as a devotional practice, with Mary Magdalene as lineage-holder and initiate. We unpack the false story of Mary Magdalene as a prostitute, and the historical confusion between temple prostitution and authentic sacred sexuality practices in the ancient world. From there, we recover the true meaning and origin of tantra itself — tracing how it became distorted into a purely sexual technique within New Age spirituality, and what becomes possible when the word, the practice, and its underlying philosophy are returned to their divine source. We’ll explore Mary Magdalene’s own role as a tantric priestess — how she understood and practiced tantra, and how that understanding is carried through the Magdalene tradition today — and begin mapping your own personal story with tantra: your existing relationship to tantric energies, and how to recognize them at work in the world around you.

Week 2: History of Hieros Gamos

This week traces the history of Hieros Gamos — the sacred marriage or divine union rites practiced across a number of ancient civilizations and spiritual traditions. We’ll look at some of the most prominent of these cultures, their understanding of divine union, and the specific rituals and practices they used to enact it and why they focussed their devotional practices in part on divine union. From this cross-cultural foundation, we’ll identify which of these practices can be meaningfully integrated into your own life and practice today.

Week 3: Eros and Devotion

Here we turn to eros itself, understood not as sexuality but as a divine, creative energy — the binding principle and connective tissue running through this reality, this universe, and the whole of creation. We’ll explore the real difference between eros and sexuality, and the precise touchpoint where the two meet, including the nature of attraction itself.

Week 4: Divine mariage and Inner Alchemy

This week asks how we arrive at divine marriage within ourselves. We’ll look at how Yeshua and Magdalene understood divine union, the role of the sacrament of mariage – and how to understand this symbolically in our relationship to the divine. We will practice some of the techniques they used to “make the 2 become 1”  and practice inner alchemy to prepare for divine union with a partner or with the divine and the world around us.

Week 5: The body & Energetic Hygiene

Here we get into the intricacies of energetic connection and energetic relationships. How to forge relationships that are not contaminated by (unintentional) manipulation, power plays, toxic inter-dependence, energy vampirism etc. but that respect the integrity and sovereignty of all parties involved. The sacred architecture of the body as the 7-layered temple of divine union and the inner map towards the bridal chamber.

Week 6: Sacred Sexual energy & Tantric relating

This week focuses on the nature of sacred sexual energy – how do we recover and resurrect our tantric nature and what are some of the safeguards we can put in place to protect the sacredness and integrity of our current and future relationships. We go into earth tantra – what does it mean to have a tantric relationship with the earth and the world that surrounds us? How to cultivate this and the purpose of this relating.

Week 7: Erotic relating to Life – Light Weaving

The course closes by expanding outward: how do you become a creative, orgasmic field of energy — not through seduction, manipulation, or distortion, but through right relation? This final week is about becoming a field of creative, loving energy and power, and learning how to position yourself rightly within the greater weaving of life, contributing as a tantric force and master within it.

This Course

We replace tantra in its divine original meaning – as a highly alchemical practice destined for high initiates trained to have impeccable energetic mastery and be conscious and powerful creators of their reality. Tantra as a sacred service to the whole of existence – not as a path of self-gratification.
